In Caribtours, News

After a busy few weeks, our final event of the year was the launch of Caribtours’ new 2024 collection at Claridges in London. It has become somewhat of an annual tradition, and something we look forward to throughout the year, and this year was no exception.

We have worked with Caribtours for over twenty years, a company which started life over forty years ago as a Caribbean specialist. Their first collection was in 1979 focused on the island of Jamaica but over the years this has expanded across the Caribbean, with Barbados now being their most popular island. Nearly twenty years ago, they branched out into the Indian Ocean, most notably the Maldives and Mauritius, and then to the Middle East and Europe. Greece for example is now one of their biggest sellers – thanks partly to the popularity of Ikos and Sani.

There are many luxury operators we could partner with, we’re not short of choices. However, travel is about personal relationships – both the relationships we have with you our clients, and those we have with our partners. It comes down to trust, honesty and knowledge – but also an element of excitement, something we all want to have when going somewhere truly magnificent.

The 2024 collection has several new additions. In its Caribbean heartlands, there is the new Wyndham Grand Barbados, Six Senses La Sagesse – the first Six Senses property in the region and Silversands Beach House in Grenada, Boardwalk in Aruba, Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Secrets Tulum in Mexico. In Europe, they have added the Cayo Exclusive Hotel and the Cretan Malia Park in Crete, Zoetry Halkidiki, Oku Kos, the Mett Hotel in Estepona, Royal River in Tenerife, the Domes Lake Resort on the Algarve and Sun Gardens in Croatia.

There are a couple of new destinations, with the addition of South Africa – with both holidays to Cape Town and the surrounding areas – as well as touring holidays across the country, including many different safari options. In Europe, there is the option of travelling to Athens either as a standalone city break or as part of a longer twin-centre holiday in Greece -the brand new One&Only Kea Island on nearby Kea is due to open in Spring 2024, and the Onle&Only Aesthesis located on the Athenian coast.

Our relationship means we can provide the most wonderful beach holidays, at some of the most iconic hotels around the world – as well as having a great range of options for the family.
