Barbados

Barbados

There is so much to love about Barbados, so it’s no wonder why it’s one of the most popular islands for the British. Although it’s known as a playground for the rich and famous, with Cliff Richard, Simon Cowell, Philip Green, Peter Jones and others associated with the island, it can also be a great value option, especially during the summer months for families.

For foodies, Barbados has something for everyone. From the very smart set on the water’s edge to something more authentically Bagan you know you’re going to have an amazing experience. Oistins Fish Fry on a Friday is a must, serving up the catch of the day.

The west coast is where it’s at on Barbados with all the big name hotels – Sandy Lane, Coral Reef Club, The Sandpiper, Colony Club, Crystal Cove and more… However, there are now some great options on the south coast, where the sea can be a little more unpredictable – the new and trendy O2, or the excellent value Sugar Bay.
